International Autumn School: Mathematical and Computational Methods for Phylogenetic and Evolutionary Epidemiology

The Institute of Tropical Medicine “Pedro Kourí” (IPK), from Havana, Cuba and the Center of Bioinformatics, Biostatistics and Integrative Biology (C3BI) from the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, invite you to attend the International Autumn School Course: Mathematical and Computational methods for Phylogenetics and Evolutionary Epidemiology in Havana from 14th to 18th October 2019 in Havana.

Mathematical and Computational concepts and models are essentials in new developments of the evolutionary studies related to outbreaks of infectious diseases pandemics.  Predicting, assessing and controlling potential outbreaks are key aspects of the worldwide effort to improve the global surveillance network for combating the emergent and re-emergent infectious diseases.

Researchers and specialists working in infectious diseases, epidemiology and bioinformatics interested in this one-week course will meet the state of the art in data analysis for phylogenetics and molecular epidemiology. The international school will be held in the Institute of Tropical Medicine Pedro Kouri, in Havana, Cuba.

The one-week programme contains theoretical and practical sessions delivered by top international scientists, among them, Professor Olivier Gascuel, Director of the C3BI; Dr. Frédéric Lemoine; Dr.Anna Zhukova; Dr. Miraine Dávila, and Jakub Voznika, PhD candidate.
